Papa's birthday

Happy Birthday DAD!!! You are the best! Thank you for always letting me come over on your day off and play, sleep, and have you cook for me.:) I couldn't ask for a better dad. You have taught me so much like how to have fun and how to be patient. Which as everyone knows I am not very patient but I am trying. Thanks for letting all of us joke around with you and make fun of everyone including yourself. Thank you for creating a home where we can be more than family but also friends. Thank you for all of the vacations growing up and for always trying to give us family time together. Thank you for teaching me many different sports and for encouraging me not to settle for average in anything that I do. Thank you for standing up for me when needed and for teaching me the gospel. I hope that I can be more like you and mom. Thanks for teaching me new recipes, Derrek really like them. I can go on and on but I think you get the drift.:) I love you and hope you have a great day. See you tomorrow on your day off and I will cook for you!:) The Buchei family LOVE and APPRECIATE you!

This past week...

we have been pretty busy. I decided to spend Derrek's money for us all to go to Disney on Ice for their 100 year celebration. It was so much fun. Ryan had a blast and we bought him these muckey binoculars and his face just lit up when he saw threw them. He was smiling ear to ear. I almost cried because he was so happy. Derrek and I just kept staring at him and asking him "do like those guys? do you know who they are?" He was one lucky kid. He also picked out an Ariel and a Mickey crown. My son really likes princesses right now but my doctor says "every little boy does, but when they are 8 you can worry, then he laughed." That topic only came up because when we went to the doctors they gave my kids stickers and I said, "don't show him Belle." So they laughed and told me not to worry. I don't care if he likes them, it's more the WHOLE show he likes not just the girl. Derreks thoughts are a bit different on that though, but oh well. I will post the pictures when I can find my cord to transfer my pics, so hopefully tomorrow.
Lately I have been having a feeling to have a vegetable garden. So even though we just got our grass in this last summer we tore some up to create our garden. Then after Sunday I felt it needed to be bigger. It was 10x15 and now it is 10x25. I want to be able to have extra food if others need it. I know that it's not much of a difference but I feel a lot better about it now. I just hope I can grow something next year because I am no green thumb. My brother Tyler likes these grape tomatoes and my mom likes beef steak tomatoes and never knew there were so many but I bet about half my garden will be a variety of tomatoes!:) We want to try corn, cucumber, toamtoes, peppers (yuck, and not for me) watermelon and maybe some pumpkins. If you have any advice on how to grow these it would be fabulous for you to share:) I also bought a scarecrow and it does it's job because I always get scared when I look out there because I think some stranger is in my yard! We want to decorate it for every holiday, so we will see how that goes.

Halloween pictures

So it has taken me awhile to sit down and download my latest pictures of the kids but here they are!:) Abigail was a skunk but she was also a little chick for a night. Ryan was Gus Gus from Cinderella. I took these pictures at my parents house. They have a really nice garden and I lvoe to use it whenever I can. I wish the kids would have been more cooperative when I did these but you know kids.

Ryan at the dentist

So it has been awhile since we went to the dentist and I was going to blog about and forgot, se here it is. It was Ryan's first real check-up and if you have hung out with me you would know that I really thought his two front teeth were his permanent ones. So since my dentist is my fabulous uncle I had him do the works on him!:) I am such a slacker I didn't bring my camera so I will explain everything. My uncle Kevin did an x-ray and it's the one that moves around your head and you have to sit so still. I was very surprised at how well he did, he just looked like a big boy standing there so cute! Ryan also didn't have any lateral teeth yet and those are the ones next to the two front teeth. So I was concerned about that too. My uncle said that it is not as common to have top lateral and not the bottoms ones, it's more common the other way around. It turns out he won't have any lateral on the bottom but his top ones finally came in so now he finally has 14 teeth! Yeah for him, but he still hasn't got his two year molars and don't mind anymore because of the x-ray. He can take as long as he wants and in the meantime he can drink lots of soda and have some treats every time he goes to Papa's, that was for you Kev.:)

Abigail just has one tooth on the bottom and the one next to it is coming in and one of her top ones is also coming in and it looks like a big one! At least I know what to expect this time around. Anyway they are still adorablely cute and love them big teeth and all! And yes I am trying to improve on my flossing Kevin maybe next time you may be surprised:)
